“I meet Louise back in Hong Kong at the West Kowloon Station Project, where I worked from 2007 to 2011 as station Architecture Coordinator and was in charge of the station area contract.
Louise worked directly under me in some aspects of the project, but her role lead her to interact directly with other sectors of the architecture team that at one point in time reached over 100 persons. Able to quickly understand complex issues and realizable, Louise could take on her won important tasks with a high level of independence. As the only Interior Designer in the team, Louise made a huge contribution to the project.
Her “hands-on”, quick response and “can do” attitude, supported by the consistency of her work and her perseverance, played a paramount role to convince those more traditional “rail architects” The complex nature of the the WKT HK High Speed terminus, and Aedas design response with its human-centric approach, placed the users’ experience at the core of the project design.
